2020 - New bathroom for Vacation Home and Cabin 4.

 

2018 - Jeff Lipple, co-owner of Island Charters and his wife Christine, purchased the resort and now keep it open for business year round.  Jeff has been spending his summers in Cedarville his whole life.  Him and his family stayed as guests at Island View Resort throughout the '90s before his parents bought their cabin across the bay on LaSalle Island.

2016 - Cottages 5,6 & 7 are being stained and trimmed in the new resort colors.  A new patio door has been installed in the Vacation Home.  The cedar Rittenhouse kitchen table in #8 cottage has been refinished.  New vinyl flooring in the bath of #4 cottage.  All cottage picnic tables have been repaired and refinished.  All cottage charcoal grills have been replaced with new kettle style charcoal grills.

2015 - Cottage #2 exterior has been painted with the new resort color and trimmed in white.  Cottage #4 kitchen, small bedroom and bath have been painted and a new medicine cabinet and lighting in the bath.  The living room logs have been refreshed with three coats of a clear finish.

2014 - New kitchen flooring in cottages 2, 5, 7 & 10.  Cottages #3 has been painted with the new exterior color.  The Vacation Home has a new coat of preservative on the exterior Cedar siding and the Cedar post deck railing around the entire deck.

2013 - Improvements in the bathrooms of cottages 6, 7, & 8. Additional dock slips have been added to the marina.

2012 - New carpeting and vinyl installed in number eight cottage.  Additional electrical outlets and a bedroom fan, electric heat and a washer and dryer installed in cottage #4.  Cottages 8 & 10 have new exterior paint and color.

2011 - We have buried new water lines to cottages 5,6 & 10.  We also buried 400 feet of drain tile to eliminate standing water from around the cottages afte rain showers.

 

2010 - Removal of the driveway from in front of cottages 2-7 & 10.  The outdoor lighting has been changed to a more appealing lamp with a pleasant glow.  All the overhead wiring has been removed and replaced with buried cable. 

WIFI is available to all cottages, no additional charge.  Flat screen TV’s and satellite reception has recently replaced the analog TV’s of the good ole days.  
Fishing is one of the favorite water sports of the Les Cheneaux Islands.  Boating is a necessity when surrounded by 35 beautiful islands providing sheltered bays, coves and channels.  We also have rental boats available -14' and 16’ fishing boats with outboard motors also two pontoon boats, an 18' fishing pontoon and a 21' deluxe cruise pontoon.  If you have your own “pride of the waterways” we provide an excellent dock allowing you to tie off at 4 points.  We have slips up to 32 feet long and 12 feet wide.  FORTUNATELY WE HAVE DEEP WATER SLIPS which have not been effected by the shallow waters of the Great Lakes during the past ten years.  We provide a separate fish cleaning house with running water and electric to ease the job of cleaning that big catch.
 

We have a very nice beach approximately 100 feet long on the West side of our dock and another small beach approximately 30 feet on the East side.  
Each cottage has a charcoal grill, picnic table lounging chairs and a lovely wood deck for those wonderful outdoor activities during your stay.  Waterfront cottages 1-4-6 & 8 have a fire pit at the cottage.  There is also a large fire pit for all to use in the front lawn area.  All fire wood is provided by us.  ENJOY!

 

Our resort covers better than 8 acres on flat ground, partly wooded with a small stream running through part of it, providing you with ample room to stretch your legs and your imagination.  A large portion of resort property remains undeveloped which provides for a great pet walk, we are pet friendly and ask all pet owners to please be pet responsible.
